Today, I’m taking you on a journey to a land where dreams are made of dough and fillings… a land where soup sings in your mouth and chutneys tango on your tongue… a land called Yashwant Place Momo Market!
Yashwant Place, for the uninitiated, is a legendary Delhi market known for its Tibetan and Nepali delights, and especially its momos. And folks, when I say “momo market,” I’m not talking about a couple of stalls. I’m talking about a gastronomical extravaganza, a momo mosh pit, a symphony of spices and dough that will have you humming Tibetan tunes long after you’ve left.
So, buckle up as I take you through my epic crawl at Yashwant Place Momo Market:
1. Chimney Sizzlers
First stop at Yashwant place Momo market, Chimney Sizzlers. These guys are the OG kings of steamed momos, and for good reason. Their chicken steam momos are plump pillows of juicy goodness, the dough thin and delicate, the filling bursting with flavor. A touch of their fiery chutney, and I was in momo nirvana.

2. Chinese Bite
Next stop at Yashwant place Momo market, Chinese Bite. There Chicken Tandoori Momos aren’t your average steamed darlings – they come dressed in a fiery spice rub that’ll have your taste buds doing the salsa. Don’t worry, the tender, savory keema inside acts as a cool counterpoint, but be warned, this is a face-fanning affair. Trust me, a Pulpy Orange will be your best friend afterwards. So, if you like your momos with a kick that rivals a dragon’s breath

3. Bawarchis
Next stop is, Bawarchis. unique cottage cheese & veggie fried momos, drawn by their colorful promise. Sadly, the reality fell short. While the filling had potential, stale cheese and uneven frying dampened the flavor, leaving us slightly disappointed. This one, unfortunately, didn’t hit the momo mark for us.

4. Al-Quresh
Our momo marathon finally landed us at Al-Kuresh. Finely minced pork, nestled in a fragrant embrace of ginger, cloves, and fresh herbs, these steamed dumplings were pure perfection. Each bite exploded with juicy goodness, the smoky whisper of clove dancing on the tongue like a culinary fandango. We couldn’t help but devour second and third helpings – Al-Kuresh truly saved the best for last!
